Welcome to the beach! We open our home to you, your family and friends. This home and property was originally built as a family, beachfront vacation home and our intent is to share this wonderful home for years to come. This home has 4 bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths and air conditioning in all of the bedrooms and living areas as well as the perfect beach right outside your back door. (In the event you need more room, we also have a unique Hawaiian HOME on the 150' wide property. It is a very special home built in the 1960s. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and sleeps 6 guests. This adjacent home can be viewed at: VRBO #2062788. If you would like to rent both houses together, you will be able to sleep 16 guests.) The property is in a quiet residential neighborhood. One block away is the heart of Kihei Town, with local restaurants, pubs, fast food, music, night life, drug store, Kaiser and so much more.
Beautiful tropical plants adorn the property, including a number of coconut palm trees and a 100+ year-old banyan tree, banana trees and a lemon tree. Coconuts are trimmed from the trees twice a year; it is an amazing experience to see the trimmers shimmy their way up the trees and cut the coconuts out.
The house is a beautiful 4 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath home that sleeps 10 quests. Two of the bedrooms have king-size beds, a third has 2 queen beds and the 4th has 2 twin beds. The house has beautiful flooring, granite countertops and wooden kitchen cabinets. All 4 bedrooms are located on the 2nd story with a large deck (12 x 24) that overlooks the ocean. Both of the king bedrooms have sliding glass doors that access the large lanai. Morning coffee is a must from this location as you watch the ocean awake. It's like sitting on top of the world!
All of the beautiful furnishings are comfortable, making it easy to feel at home, relax and enjoy your vacation. The kitchen is fully stocked (including a blender, toaster oven, microwave and Hawaiian dish ware, rice cooker, coffee pot). The kitchen has great counter space and the dining table expands to seat 12 guests.
Relax on the large lanai facing the lawn and beach beyond, or lounge on deck chairs on the lawn. This home has everything you will need to enjoy your vacation---you feel at home the moment you walk in. You would never know you are one block from the main road of Kihei Town.
There is a hand built lava rock wall that fronts the property. There are a few reasons we decided to have the wall built---we want our guests to feel comfortable and secure and also for our guests can enjoy the wall and discover the beauty of lava, the fabric of our Island.
The house is adjacent to a 2-bedroom house under common ownership, which is also available to rent.
UNFORTUNATELY, WE DO NOT ALLOW WEDDINGS AND/OR RECEPTIONS ON THIS PROPERTY. THIS IS A GREAT PROPERTY TO HOUSE YOUR GUESTS IN, BUT NO FUNCTIONS ALLOWED.

From Kahului Airport follow the signs to Kihei on the airport access road. You will be directed to the highway towards Kihei. Once on the highway go to Lipoa Street and go right on Lipoa. Go past So. Kihei Rd and just before you come to the beach, TURN RIGHT onto ULUNIU ROAD. DRIVE to 1194 ULUNIU ROAD, IT WILL BE ON THE LET SIDE OF THE STREET. There is a lava rock wall out front. Inside the wall there are TWO HOMES.

If you are staying in the 4 bedroom home you can park one vehicle in the driveway of the larger home and the 3 remaining vehicles on the reinforced front lawn area of the home which is entered by going through the drive way and to the right of the smaller home. If you are staying in the smaller home you may park one vehicle at the RIGHT of the driveway and any additional vehicles on the front lawn area of the smaller home that is accessed just through the driveway and to the left of the smaller home.

Beautiful Estate
What a beautiful home and grounds that accommodated an eclectic group of 7. The home and grounds were spacious enough for get-togethers yet allowed each person their own personal space when desired. The kitchen had everything we needed for the multiple meals cooked, including a grill, rice cooker, large griddle, and all the other cooking necessities. Brian was perfectly responsive to all of our needs. The proximity to the beach for whale watching, shell hunting, and the daily turtle encounter was only steps away. Will definitely stay here again (or The Banyan which is also located on the property and looks equally enticing for a smaller group.)
Unforgettable Experience 🌺
Our family of 10 just returned from the most amazing stay at The Palms house in Hawaii, and we’re still glowing from the experience. This was our second time staying here, and it truly feels like we have a special connection with this home. The moment we arrived, it felt like we were returning to a place that already held so many wonderful memories, and we left with even more. The house itself is perfect for a big family. We loved having space to spread out, run around in the beautiful yard, and gather together on the lanai to soak in the incredible views. Every evening, without fail, we watched the turtles swim by at sunset, an absolute highlight and something our whole family will never forget. Brian and Mitzi were once again the most gracious, thoughtful, and welcoming hosts. Their warmth and attention to detail made our stay effortless and truly special. It’s rare to find a place that feels both luxurious and deeply personal, but this home manages to be both. We would 100% recommend this house to any family looking for a memorable and meaningful Hawaiian getaway. We can’t wait for the day we return again. 🌺
Fantastic Accomodations
Our family of 9 rented both houses on the property. It was perfect for us in every way. We loved having the big table that seats 10 for our family dinners. The grounds are so lovely with bird song (and chickens lol) each morning. Everything we needed was included with the house. We would definitely stay there again.
Lovely location - great house
We spent 5 nights in this wonderful spot. The house is comfortable with everything you need for your stay, but the real treat is the beautiful view and the beach right outside. Every night the sea turtles came onto the beach a sunset. One night we counted 36 of them! We highly recommend The Palms for anyone who loves vacationing in Hawaii!
Anniversary vacation with the family
We planned and dreamed of this trip for 1 1/2 years and it was what we dreamed of and more. As a family of 14, we rented both units and what joy filled Nana and Poppa's hearts as the littles came across the grass in the morning to say hi. Games on the lawn, sitting on the beach, coffee on the lanai - just incredible and we WILL recommend this property! I pray we can go back!
Fantastic property - Highly recommended
We enjoyed 7 days in paradise. The property was everything advertised and more. The house was very clean, stocked, and big enough for our 10 family members. The grassy area was perfect for a quiet nap -or- a game of football with the kids. The beach was just a few steps away and offered fun snorkeling and turtle watching. Overall it was a perfect week. if you want to feel like you live in paradise this is the place for you :-)
No Better place to stay!!
The house was big, beautiful and cozy. Gourgeous view of the ocean!! The yard is huge and wonderful for all the kids to play in. Nothing about this house I would change!! Absoutely worth every cent!! I have been to Maui 17 times for work and this is the best home my family and I have stayed in yet!! Highly recommend it!!!
Family Vacation
We had an amazing 10 days with our family of 7. The location is perfect and the sunset views from the backyard were a daily treat, along with the turtles coming up on the beach each night. The home has everything you could need and Brian is a friendly, kind, and responsive host. There was plenty of room for everyone, both inside and out. Kehei is a great location to get to other points of interest on the island. It was everything we hoped the vacation would be!
Absolutely perfect
After 2 covid delays, our 3-generation family of 11 enjoyed a perfect week on Maui in both the Palms and the Banyan. We chose these homes after an enthusiastic recommendation from another wing of our family that had the same experience. Our special family time was a long time coming and the homes gave us exactly what we were hoping for. Brian could not have been more helpful in working with us over the 2 years we have been planning this, including during our time with some appreciated check in's. We truly could not be more enthusiastic about Brian and these wonderful properties.
Welcome to Paradise
Fantastic, private, lot's of space and plenty of aloha. We rented both houses for two weeks with 8 adults and 4 children. Incredible outdoor space for sunsets, turtles every night, paddle boarding, lanai with plenty of room for multiple families to eat and unbelievable star gazing. Kihei is a perfect headquarters for a week or two on Maui near great beaches and easy access to all of Maui's adventures. Download the Shaka Guide on your phone to guide and entertain you through some of the best. Very comfortable with all the amenities including A/C. Brian and his team were super responsive and helpful. You found paradise if you are reading this. Vacation of a lifetime if traveling with a bigger crew. Mahalo
